The walls are up, the trim is going in, and the main floor is starting to feel like a place.
Every project has a moment when you stop seeing a construction site and start seeing rooms. This week, we walked through the main floor and felt it.
The walls on the main level are now in, and the trim and detail work is underway. Doorways have frames, rooms have edges, and each space has begun to take on its own character. What was once open framing now looks and feels like real rooms, each with its own purpose.
Standing in the future dressing rooms, we could picture it clearly: a woman arriving, taking a breath, and feeling cared for the moment she walks in. We could imagine the community space filled with warmth, where friends will gather.
This is the vision we have carried since the beginning, in memory of Chayala:
a space built with so much love that every woman who enters feels it. Watching it come together room by room is truly moving.
None of this would be happening without you. Every donation, every word of encouragement, and every person who has shared our story has helped build these walls. We are so grateful to be doing this together.
There is still work ahead, and each step brings us closer to opening the doors. If you’d like to be part of it, donate today at chayalasmikva.org and help us create a home for our entire community.
Thank you for walking this journey with us. We can’t wait to show you what’s next.
