The rooms are taking real shape.
Inside Chayala’s Mikva, the progress this summer has been steady and exciting to watch. What began as open framing is now filling in, room by room, with the structure that will soon become the private, peaceful spaces women will use on their most meaningful nights.
Insulation is being installed throughout the building right now, bringing warmth and comfort to every space — from the preparation rooms to the mikva itself. With the walls being insulated, the building is getting ready for the next major step: sheetrock. Soon, the open framing will disappear behind smooth, finished walls, and the rooms will start to feel less like a construction site and more like the beautiful space they’re meant to become.
It’s a quieter kind of progress — not as visible from the outside, but every bit as meaningful. Each layer brings us closer to opening our doors.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support this work. We’re getting there, wall by wall.
